For those of us who love chocolate what could be more better on a hot summers day than a bowl of delicious homemade chocolate ice cream. This recipe is quick and easy to make, requires no ice cream machine, and results in a rich and creamy texture. All is needed is a standard blender, nothing fancy or high tech.
Yields: 1 litre
Ingredients:
1 cup whole milk (full-fat)
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (extract)
Method:
1. Add all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for around three minutes.
2. Pour mixture into a plastic container. Cover with plastic wrap and tightly seal with lid.
3. Place in freezer for at least 8 hours.
Enjoy!
If you would like to have ice cream without the chocolate then check out my Vanilla ice cream recipe.

ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! I've been on an ice cream kick lately...for some weird reason.
ReplyDeleteI love your simple recipe. Chocolate ice cream is one of our favorites and we make frozen yogurt or ice cream at least once a week. My husband and I both have a bit of a sweet tooth. I will be adding this one to my list of recipes to try in the future. Thanks for sharing.
