1. Drip catcher
A Popsicle can be very messy especially in the summer. Slip the Popsicle stick through a cupcake liner before eating to catch any drips.
2. Single serve portion cups
Have a party coming up? It's often easier to pre-portion out certain snacks rather than having to do it during the party. If you are having a themed party you may even get liners that go with the party's color or theme.
3. Drink lids
Having some guests over for a barbecue in your backyard and being bothered by pesky flies? Place a liner over the top of your drink and make a small hole to put in a straw.
There is nothing worse than lighting candles on a cake and have them drip wax after they have been blown out. To keep this from happening fit candles halfway into straws and then punch them though cupcake liners to catch the melted wax.
5. Treat cups
Cupcake liners are the perfect size for little hands. Use them for holding chips, popcorn, peanuts, and other small treats.
6. Drink coasters
If you are having a gathering and are short on drink coasters you can substitute with cupcake liners. They will help protect your tables from getting cup marks and also add some fun to your guest's drinks.
7. Decorate homemade jam
Do you make homemade jam and give some away as gifts? Use a cupcake liner and a piece of ribbon to decorate the jar. Simply cover the lid with a liner and tie it using the ribbon.
8. Re-purpose crayons
Collect any broken crayons from around the home and remove the paper coverings. Place them inside foil liners, about two-thirds full and place them in a cupcake or muffin pan. Heat in the oven at 275 F until melted together. Remove from oven and cool down before use.
